Intended for the true Hawthorne fan and the just curious alike, tour through Salem, guided by Nathaniel Hawthorne, sharing his stories, his inspirations, and the many ghosts of Salem. Encounter the characters he created along the way that have endured in American culture for centuries, and perhaps discuss them with the muse of his psyche. Enter the mind of one of America’s most prolific gothic writers for a thought experiment that will explore the history, haunting, and magic of Salem.
TIPS:
The tour runs about an hour and ten minutes over a distance of just over a mile.
This tour starts at the House of Seven Gables and ends at the Witch Trials Memorial.

(Nathaniel Hawthorne)
A NH/Boston based Actor recently seen in Intramersive’s Daemonologie: Smoke and Mirrors as Nathaniel Hawthorne and The Duke of Cornwall in King Lear. He has trained with Tina Packer and Denise Krausnick of Shakespeare & Company, with Director Clayton Phillips, along with the Barnstormers Theatre in Tamworth, NH. Recently he has been in radio plays of A Midsummer Night’s Dream as Puck, as well as upcoming radio play of Macbeth as Macbeth. Will spends his down time forging fine rings, and crafting small props on his farm. He looks forward to working on striking theater and impactful films in the future.
Jennifer Emerson
(The Muse)
A First-Person Interpreter, writer and playwright for nineteen years, Jennifer’s work has been seen at venues such as Mystic Seaport, Shaw Mansion, Fort Griswold Battlefield State Park, Noank Historical Society, Lafayette-Durfee House, and the 1697 Duston-Dustin Garrison House. She debuted with Intramersive Media in 2019 as Mrs. Kelly in Daemonologie: Smoke & Mirrors, and is delighted to now be a part of their creative team. Directly descended from the Emerson’s of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Jennifer’s family is steeped in the violence and tragedy of Colonial New England. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Fairfield University.
